  3. @Buggusmac I rode a zx-11, and my firsttime I almost lose it! The power was Instant and amazing! i had never ridden a bike so powerful before, and i the largest bike I ever rode before it was a GSX-R 1100. The ZX-11 was just in a different ball park for some reason. I used to love the Magna's .very good looking cruiser / muscle bike.

I gotta tell you this...about 20 yrs ago, a friend of mine became the proud owner of a ZX11. At the time, I had an older V65 Magna 1100 muscle bike. I absolutely knew my bike was the baddest thing on the planet. On our first ride together, he was smoking me with such ease... I had to ride it. That was the first true sport bike I ever rode... i am a fan as well! Owned sport bikes ever since.

    @tehdon007

i don't know what 6'5" is but i'm 1m 90cm and i'm only 17 XD my brother is almost 21 and has his Ducati 749 next weekend and he's 1m 93cm and he has done a test ride yesterday and he said it was good even i sat on the bike and it was very comfortable :p

  9. @Buggusmac Thanks for the reply! i agree, this is one of the most beautiful bikes around. While being a huge kawasaki fan, I think the 1198S Corse, the red and black with the platinum tank is the best looking bike of all time. I heard that the 848 wasn't as comfy as the ZX-6R or 10R, but who's ever riding for hours? LOL!! It's tough, because while i want the 2011 ZX-10 , The 848 isn't as powerful, but gives you a good amount of power, with looks to match, which is good for South Florida living!

It is a very light, high torque single side swing arm beauty. Great all around sport bike with looks to kill. I'd take it over a zx6 any day. The zx10, I would have a harder time choosing it over as the zx10 is balls to the walls power. i guess it depends what you are looking to get out of a bike. 848 is a great all around sport bike thats hard to beat awesome for riding enjoyment. I rode my buddy's and I love it... but my busa wins in a race.

  11. @goonballer It truly is very beautiful! I have yet to hear one in person though, I feel the internet may be robbing it of it's true amazing sound! But i do prefer the loud scream of an inline 4.

  12. @supersayin1 because it's beautiful and sounds amazing

  13. Damn, this bike makes 140hp to the Crank and puts 116 hp to the ground? AMAZING!!
So to Ducati fans, I have a question. My being a Kawasaki fan, I would like to know, what would be a good reason for me to take this bike over say a 2009 ZX-6 or ZX-10R that would cost maybe $2,000.00 Less, besides the fact that my wife who hates motorcycles actually likes this better than the Ninja? LOL!!

@tehdon007 Dude, if you're 6'5'' you look ridiculous in a superbike.

  19. @SicSeb Add the Finns to that list :D

  20. @tehdon007 thank you for saying that! I was terrified being 6'2" that I would never own this bike. Do you actually own the 848?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I like it to stunt !!!

  22. i think its a modern classic personally! 848 is more then enough power for me, im a rookie though... ive only got a gixxer 600. but you get to know youre riding a ducati which is just sex on wheels, id feel pretty good about myself every time i saw it in my garage... if i save for few years maybe il be able to get one lol!

Commited riding position... You could say that! What's the point of taking the ergos to such an extreme that the thing only works properly in a race track?

  24. I love the way this bike looks, but I'm a beginning rider, so I don't think it'd be appropriate for my daily driving kind of newbie stuff.

  25. The B-King is awesome, it's does everything better and is the overall better bike, but it will never give u the fell and exclusivity of the Max. Having a Max is like having a tiger for a pet, u can never relax, u must be always in total control or it will kill u! And that is what makes it so special.

  26. I had an original 85 and the cowl intakes are aluminum not plastic! Never heard of a plastic cowls on any V-Max.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @destined2sleep nope.....look up jon cornell. hes got one of these bikes in the 8's in the quarter mile. just watch some videos. jay gleason ran a near stock 09 vmax 9.55 seconds. the trumpy cant do that.

  38. I like this bike, takes after american muscle, but I can see why people say you don't need the power, but its good to know you're bike has the potential to go fast.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @nz3rdsqr over here in quebec they are crazy when it comes to sports bikes they will charge ya 1000$for the plate every year. so we try to go for the sport touring and cruiser class as the plate for them only cost 600$ per year. so for us its a cheaper alternative of a sports bike.

  40. Very uninformative review.

  41. I want to smash him with a sledgehammer

    ReplyDelete
  42. i dont get the point of this bike. its a 200hp cruiser. 200hp on a sportbike i can understand cause you can take it on a track and you are going for performance. but this kinda bike the 200hp is going to try and kill you plus put a pillion on the back and they will be scared shitless. that power will never be needed.
