2008 Yamaha WR250R/X - Dirt Bike Review

The 2008 WR250R and WR250X aren't anything like the existing slew of 250cc 4-stroke machines from Yamaha. The familiar WR model, the 250F enduro, has a totally different engine, chassis, suspension, computer, seat, you name it. The same goes for the YZ250F motocrosser which is even further away in the Yammie quarter-liter lineup. Go to MotorcycleUSA.com to read the entire Yamaha WR250 dirt bike review.

  9. @SpeedingStudent wr250r cost 8000$ in canada, too expensive for a 250.
For little more, i can get a ktm or a husky.

  11. @J801506 also, at 25mph in 2nd hit the clutch and it comes right up.. all gas is possible if you sit back and pull a little, depending on you weight, handles so lovely i have scraped the side of my shoes off and im a squid, never had any problems except wind deflection is shit, on the highway im always passing cars, which was my main reason for NOT getting the klx which i heard is lots less powerful but it was also twice as cheap as the wr, i feel it was worth it though =)

Its very fast i top out in about i would say about 18 seconds i dont really no for sure going of the top of my head. 20. Any time! I have many praises for this bike. The only things that suck is that the exhaust (or clutch cover) gets really hot near the right leg, no tach, and even though its fuel injected, it will bog off the line until it warms up. Other than that, it's everything i'd hoped it would be!

  21. Cool, thatd be usefull just for knocking around on too. I live in the city, so Im a 30mile ride to the nearest woods.

  22. 85 MPG! The fuel light (half gallon left) usually comes on at around120 miles. And the power really isn't all that bad.
